Steve Knox Speaking
Missionaries Steve and Ann Knox will be speaking in our services next Sunday, October 26. A volunteer is needed to take the family out to lunch afterwards. If you are willing to do this, please call the church office at 628.2400.

Lend A Helping Can!
The Awana program is Lending A Helping Can! Between now and November 19, we would like to collect at least 500 cans of food to help Faith In Action. Collection baskets are in the front foyer and Awana clubbers and leaders will be bringing cans each Wednesday. Together we can Lend A Helping Can to many families and extend the love of Christ in our community. Faith In Action appreciates all canned food donations. At this time of year, they are especially in need of meats, fruit, soup, green veggies and other veggies.

Football Team Dinner
We will be hosting dinner and a devotional for the Abingdon High Varsity Football team and their coaches this Thursday, Oct. 30th at 5 P.M. Helen Meade is coordinating the food, and we need some sides to go along with all those chicken & dumplings! This has always been a great opportunity for our church to show the community that we love them and that Christ loves them! Will you help us? Contact Helen Meade at 628.3619 or Pastor Steven for any questions.

Upward Tailgate Party
Our Upward Football program will be having its annual end-of-season tailgate party this Saturday, Nov. 1st. Games will be at 10, 11, and 12:30 P.M. We need help setting up, serving food, and cleaning up. If you can only help for an hour or two, please still come out and meet the families in the community that we as a church are serving and sharing the gospel with each week! We also need you, yes you, to bring some finger-desserts (cookies, brownies, cupcakes). Feel free to drop those desserts off on Friday down in the kitchen or the church office, or bring them with you when you help serve on Saturday! See Bruce McNulty or Pastor Steven for any questions.

Peter Vogel Visiting
Peter Vogel, a former intern, will be visiting Abingdon next month and will speak at ABC on Sunday evening, November 23 at 6 P.M. A love offering will be received. Please make plans to attend.

Fall Festival & Chili Cook-off
Abingdon Bible Church will be hosting a Fall Festival on Friday, October 31 from 6 P.M. – 8 P.M. in the gym and children’s building. This will be a great opportunity for fellowship and fun for kids and the rest of the church. We’ll be returning a few of your favorite festivities, including a Chili Cook-Off (with awards for hottest and tastiest), a Cake-Walk, and two bounce houses (one for PreK-K and one for older kids). There’ll also be some carnival-style games, hot dogs and chips, candy, and our very own clown! Sign-up lists for the Chili Cook-Off and the Cake Walk are located in the Welcome Center and the Foyer. Contact Pastor Steven if you’d like to help with the food or games!
