Lend A Helping Can!
The Awana program is Lending A Helping Can! Between now and November 19, we would like to collect at least 500 cans of food to help Faith In Action. Collection baskets are in the front foyer and Awana clubbers and leaders will be bringing cans each Wednesday. Together we can Lend A Helping Can to many families and extend the love of Christ in our community. Faith In Action appreciates all canned food donations. At this time of year, they are especially in need of meats, fruit, soup, green veggies and other veggies.

Upward Basketball
Evaluations for Upward Basketball will be held Tuesday, December 2 and Thursday, December 4 from 5 – 8 P.M. and Saturday, December 6 from 8 A.M. – 1 P.M. This is the first step in signing up and is available for all kids between K – 5th grade. The evaluations only take 15 minutes so pick a time convenient for your family and get ready for an exciting season! Additionally we love to have you volunteer with us, even if it is only for one Saturday – we need refereees, coaches, and score board operators. If you have questions or if you would like to help, please call/text Jeff Smith at 608.7371 or call the church office at 628.2400.

Church Thanksgiving Dinner
The church Thanksgiving Dinner will be held on Thursday, November 20 at 6 P.M. in the gym. The turkey will be provided. Bring your favorite Thanksgiving dish to share! Please come for good food, sharing, and fellowship.

Upward Tailgate Party
Our Upward Football program will be having its annual end-of-season tailgate party this Saturday, Nov. 1st. Games will be at 10, 11, and 12:30 P.M. We need help setting up, serving food, and cleaning up. If you can only help for an hour or two, please still come out and meet the families in the community that we as a church are serving and sharing the gospel with each week! We also need you, yes you, to bring some finger-desserts (cookies, brownies, cupcakes). Feel free to drop those desserts off on Friday down in the kitchen or the church office, or bring them with you when you help serve on Saturday! See Bruce McNulty or Pastor Steven for any questions.

Peter Vogel, a former intern, will be visiting Abingdon next month and will speak at ABC on Sunday evening, November 23 at 6 P.M. A love offering will be received. Please make plans to attend.

There’ll also be some carnival-style games, hot dogs and chips, candy, and our very own clown! Sign-up lists for the Chili Cook-Off and the Cake Walk are located in the Welcome Center and the Foyer.
